Toyota has developed revolutionary strategies to help conserve water during its manufacturing processes. Conventional auto manufacturing techniques rely heavily on purified water. If water does not reach the specified level of purification, it is sent down the drain. To help conserve water, Toyota has introduced an innovative water purifying method called reverse osmosis. This water purification technique allows Toyota to use more of its available water, while reducing waste. Overall, Toyota’s plants are now able to use up to 90 percent of their available water. With this eco-friendly initiative, Toyota is improving the sustainability of its manufacturing facilities.
